Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
